One Stormy Night

Artemis walked into the common room soaking wet. She sunk into a chair by the fire and set her bow down beside her. She was in the forest having target practice. She would have stayed, but it started to lightning. She sighed as she looked in the fire.

As, usual Karsynn couldn't sleep. She went down to the common and noticed a girl sitting by the fire. The girl also ha a bow beside her. She had never seen the girl before. She wondered if this was the new transfer student. Karynn sat down in a chair beside her. "Aren't you the new transfer?" Karsynn asked trying to be polite

"Yes, I'm Artemis, if you're wondering" she said still staring into the fire. she unbuckled the quiver of arrows and set them down along with bow. she also unbuckled an arm guard off her forearm and held it in her hand.

[Ronit Virani]

Ronit entered the common room, soaked in the rain water, and with his Nimbus 2000 over his shoulder. "Hey Karsynn, Hi Artemis," he greeted them, taking a chair.

"Hey Ronit, lightning bring you inside too?" Artemis asked taking the arrows out her quiver and dumping the water out of it on to the floor.

[Ronit Virani]

"Yeah," said Ronit, "Its quiet some storm out there," he looked out of the window.

"I wanted to stay out there, but the thunder was messing up concentration." she said drying the arrows and putting them back in the quiver

[Heather Granger]

Heather walked into the common room with her arms full of books. "Good evening Karsynn, Artemis and Ronit, how are you all?" Heather asked them all as she sat down in her usually chair near the fire and opened her books.

"Heather I know this is your NEWT year, but you don't have to go study every night. You remind me of my sister, Athena. We're twins, but by our personalities, you would believe that we were part of two different families. We're complete opposites, but we're close. Well we were close until the school closed in Greece." Artemis said as she repaired a frayed bow string. It snapped and Artemis cursed. She reached in a small pouch in her quiver and pulled out another string.

[Ronit Virani]

Ronit smiled at Aretemis's comment, "But more studying is good, isn't it?"

"yeah more studying is good, but when I study more than I have to, it feels like my head is going to explode. I don't know where you store all that information Heather. You know what, I'm going to take you from the library one night and take in the forest for some target practice. It'll be fun." Artemis said taking the bow string off.

[Heather Granger]

"Well I need to study hard with all the classes i have taken, anyway I find it all quite easy to understand and remeber." Heather said writing out a few rolls of parchment with writing. "Well maybe after i have some some revision we could have a go at target practice one night, when i am not that busy studying." Heather said to her glancing up from her pile of books.

"You're always busy Heather." Artemis said as she started to attach a new string to her bow. "Crap, the hole for the string is causing the bow to crack." She looked at Karsynn and saw the look in her eyes. "I know what you're thinking and no I will not use magic on my bow karsynn. It won me three chamionships, I won't risk it." She walked upstairs and grabbed a plastic case. She returned to the common room and sat back down in her chair.

"Well magic would make it like new." Karsynn pointed out. "She's right Heather, you do study too much."

[Heather Granger]

"Well i wnat to have a good career behind me, here shall i fix it, i swear it will not be any less different that it was." Heather said looking up at the bow.
