It was a small room deeper in the dungeons, but Phoenix had cleaned it and gotten it suitable for use again, well stocked with potion ingredients and brewing equipment.
The boy himself looked like he'd seen better days. He appeared to be fighting his way through an illness by trying to ignore it and work as hard as he could. He was sweating, and his movements seemed unsure, but every time he made a measurement, his movements were careful, and his potionmaking remained impeccable.
He stopped in his work, walking over to a side table where a steaming cup sat. Giving it a foul look, he took it and drank it all down, quickly, then headed coughing back to his work.

Glancing back at the note that was in her hands, Isabella looked back at the door. She was calm and rather thankful Phoenix had gotten back to her. She was hesitant at first upon reading the note from him, but came anyway. A smile placed on her lips. Isabella felt excited, her thoughts wandering around wildly.
Phoenix must of worked really hard. He was smart and used that to help people. Isabella respected him because of that. She hadn't seen him since that day and hoped he was doing alright. So clearing her head, Isabella reached up a delicate hand and knocked. Biting her bottom lip, hoping he was on the other side of the door.

Phoenix was, evidently, busy. The potion he was making was requiring a lot of fast ingredient-adding, temperature adjustment, and even levitation over the flame. Somewhere in the midst of this, he aimed his wand at the door and charmed the door open, without breaking his pace.
The hurried pace he kept as he worked on the potion honestly didn't do anything to make him seem healthier. Indeed, something about his frantic movements made him seem even less well than he already did... which honestly was saying something.
"It's almost done," he said, charming the door shut behind her again. "It's just... a bit touch and go at the very end."

The door opened and Isabella was greeted to the scene of a boiling cauldron. Stepping inside quickly, Isabella looked at Phoenix. Her eyes taking in the sickly looking form of him. Guilt crept it's way inside of her, but Isabella managed to place a blank expression on her face. If he were a mere human Isabella began thinking, would he be able to push himself like this?
"Phoenix..." Isabella began, frowning slightly. Walking towards him, but keeping a distance for she didn't want to bump anything. "Are you alright?" She asked. Concern sinking into her facial features. As much as she wanted to pretend she didn't care, she did. It bothered her that he looked so unhealthy.

"As perfectly well as it's possible to be right now," Phoenix answered, not looking up from his work. He turned, picked up a small dish almost without looking, and completed the turn until he was facing where he started, pouring the powder within it into the potion he was brewing. As soon as it was in, he lifted a small vial and poured it in, causing the potion to belch red vapor, but he was already moving away when it did that, and didn't catch any of it in his face. "Your condition has its problems... mine has its own as well. I haven't been rightly fine for a week... judging by that, I think the full moon will truly begin tomorrow, the night after at latest. So thankfully I started this potion in time, so that it won't go to waste because I'm stuck with giant paws for hands and can't mix potions properly," he added, sounding like the fact that it interrupted his work was the worst part of being a werewolf, but not sounding very convincing, given that his voice was even hoarser than usual, and that he looked nothing short of ill.

Isabella nodded, getting mesmerized by his potion making skills. His swift movements and concentration, Isabella could watch him for hours. Though she felt really bad right then, yes he had conditions. She knew this, but he probably was sick. Isabella had a feeling he was. But at moment if he wanted to ignore that fact, Isabella wouldn''t make him angry by bringing it up. After all he was old enough to take care of himself.
"Thank you for.... everything." Isabella said watching the red vapors. Then looking around the room. Waiting patiently for him. Thinking about the stress he must be going through.

"No, thank you," Phoenix said, levitating the bottle carefully higher over the flame, then pouring another fully brewed potion into it. "The last few days before a full moon... it's like my body knows what's happening, and is trying to change, but can't manage that last little push that makes it happen. But it still tries, and tries, and it wears on you, and your body fights itself, like your normal form is a sickness that it can purge. And it bloody hurts."
He gave a swish of his wand and the flame slid down the table, allowing him to push a bowl of ice water under the potion, which he immediately set it down in. He counted down from ten, and when he reached one, he dropped a pinch of white powder into the potion. It immediately turned from deep purple to crimson red. "A project like this is exactly what I need to get my mind off of it." He tested the heat of the potion, then poured a dose into a small cup, which he set on the table, then sat back tiredly in the chair behind him.

Isabella couldn't understand how he would want to do this and thank her for it. Though people did seem to have their hobbies, strange and tiresome as they were. Isabella looked at him, she didn't know how much it hurt to be a werewolf. They seemed to have somethings worse than vampires. Isabella was glad she didn't have to go through that every month. Smiling appreciatively, Isabella looked at the cup. Walking towards it and leaning in forwards. Her violet eyes studying it. As if she could make sense of it.
"This is the end result?" Isabella asked, looking at Phoenix. Her eyes filled with barely contained excitement.

"It's a first attempt, at least," Phoenix admitted. "It was... difficult to figure out what had been done to make those tablets. And as I'm sure you noticed, it was quite complicated at the end, there... I'm sure that there are ways to make it much simpler, if i could just find them. If, of course, it works," he said tiredly, nodding toward the cup. "At the very least, it can't hurt you."

Smiling brightly, Isabella turned back to the cup. Picking it up without hesitation. She was willing and Phoenix had made it. If anything she trusted Phoenix and that was enough. Raising it towards her lips, Isabella gently tilted. The red liquid making its way inside her mouth and towards the back of her throat. It went down fine, it was over much to soon. Isabella noticed that it didn't taste so bad as the last one. It tasted fine, a taste she could deal with. As she finished it, Isabella could already feel the affects. Her thirst was quenched and she felt a coldness run down her body.
Isabella almost felt renewed. It was a sensation she had never felt before. Placing the cup down, Isabella faced Phoenix. An even bigger smile on her lips. "Its great! I feel great! Unless something happened which I can't see, then its a success." Isabella exclaimed. Excited that it worked, or from what she could tell.

Phoenix sighed, though in his current state, the sound was hard to place. Then he eyed her critically, deciding to have a bit of fun with the situation. "Well, I suppose that as long as you don't mind your skin looking that way, it'll be fine," he said, he said, forcing a tone of worry into his voice.

Isabella felt the blood drain from her very face, she was to afraid to look at her skin. Looking at Phoenix with a horrified expression on her face. "What!? Phoenix.... your kidding...right?" Isabella whispered, as if the louder tones would make the situation worse.

Phoenix couldn't help smirking. "Of course I'm kidding. You're as lovely as ever," he answered. His face grew a bit more serious then. "Now... bear in mind, there's still a lot of work I have to do. Right now, you'd be hard pressed to find many people who could cheaply make that for you. The ingredients aren't horribly expensive, considering what it is, but the labor would be insane." He hesitated, then continued. "Also, you've only just taken it. We don't know how long it will be effective. But I've made enough here," he said, pointing to the cauldron he'd brewed, "To last you at least as long as it takes to brew a fresh batch. Hopefully longer, in case the next batch doesn't turn out as well. But assuming that this stays effective, I just need to make the process simpler so that there's less room for error and so that it's not so hard to find someone up to making it."

Isabella shook her head, smiling. He so had her, she had to agree it was funny. Listening to him intently Isabella nodded. Biting her bottom lip in pure habit really. Isabella really hoped it was effective, she already liked it. Well they would see when she would suddenly have a terrible thirst for blood. she hoped that wouldn't happen, and if it did she hoped it didn't happen while people were around. Looking at the cauldron, Isabella smiled. She could do this.
"Phoenix...You're just wonderful. I'm grateful you bumped into the table I was sitting in. I really appreciate all this. The effort you are putting in." Isabella said softly. And to think I never wanted to see you again...Crazy!

"Well," Phoenix said, looking a little bashful at her words, "Everyone needs someone to help them sometimes. I was probably supposed to run into that table, just like you were supposed to be sitting there after that idiot at the apothecary turned you out. Incidentally, my father has all of the potioneers that he's in touch with avoiding the place... and he's in touch with a good number. I doubt that apothecary is seeing many special orders recently."
