Head under water, and they tell me to breathe easy

[Seniade Hawthorne]

Sen giggled as she turned her back to let Malak change into her suit. "Indeed Flyte, you are miss Jungle Queen." Seniade wriggled her toes in the warm grass and wrinkled her nose up as she looked up to the sky. "Let us know when you're done changing Malak. Race starts as soon as you say okay and the last one in the water is a rotten egg."

[Malak Aarle]

Malak didn't comment on that. Instead she shook her head and walked a little ways away. Mlaak found a spot relatively well hidden. Then she changed into her suit and came back out hugging her robes to her chest. This was the first time Phoenix had seen her in anything remotely like this. This was the first time anyone but family had seen her in anything like this as far as she knew. It was an odd experience.

[Flyte Vance]

Flyte jumped to her feet laughing...

'Watch out Hogwarts - here comes the Queen of the Jungle!' She struck a ridiculous pose hoping to make Malak laugh, the girl looked a little uncomfortable.

[Phoenix Aster]

Catching on that Malak had changed, Phoenix turned around and smiled at her. "If you're going to carry your robes in, it is a bit pointless to change out of them," he teased, walking back over to her.

[Seniade Hawthorne]

Sen turned when Phoenix did and noticed that Malak had changed. "Hey! You were supposed to say you were ready!" She darted off without another word, tugging on Malak's arm and pulling her to the lake. At the edge, Sen let go of Malak and dived in, kicking her feet at the last minute to make a big splash and then bobbed her head up to the surface.

[Malak Aarle]

Malak chuckled when Flyte struck her pose. Then she went back to blushing again when Phoenix teasted her. This time she at least had the sense of mind to stick her tongue out at Phoenix. Then Seniade came running up to Malak smiling brighlty and grabbed Malak's arm. Malak dropped her robes as Seniade dragged her to the lake's edge. Malak laughed when dived in the water. "Alright, alright." Malak chuckled before jumping in the water.

[Flyte Vance]

Flyte laughed at the girls and then lay back in the sun, slipping on her sunglasses and daydreaming about the evening before.

[Phoenix Aster]

Phoenix chuckled, too, as he followed Malak and Sen back into the water. He wouldn't stare at Malak in the swimsuit... he would not stare. He promised himself that.

He also broke that promise as soon as she surfaced again, though he managed to stop staring before she caught him. Briefly regretting that she felt the need for shorts, too, he swam out to where they were.

[Seniade Hawthorne]

Seniade felt the need for some mischief and crept towards the bank closer to where Flyte was and slid her wand up out of the grass. She pointed at the lake water and cast nonverbal Wingardium Leviosa on the water, raising a big bubble out of the water and floated it over to Flyte. As it settled right over her head, Sen grinned and released the water ball and giggled heartily as it burst and soaked Flyte totally.

'What the..!' Flyte bit her tongue to stop the expletives as she jumped up. 'SEN I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!'

Her hair hung like a wet rat and her towel was saturated. She laughed out loud and charged her friend, spear tackling her back into the water.

[Seniade Hawthorne]

Sen squealed as Flyte tackled her back into the Lake and pulled her friend under the water, kicking furiously to drag her under, knowing Flyte could swim well and pull herself to the surface to get air if needed. Something brushed Sen's ankle and she let go of Flyte and looked down. A craggly stone hand had latched itself around her ankle and was trying to tug her down into the seaweed forest of the Lake. Rather annoyed, Sen kicked out with her other foot and struck it square on the forehead, forcing the grindylow to let her go and swam back towards the surface.

"Nasty, annoying little buggers." Sen breathed, as she gulped fresh air.

[Flyte Vance]

Flyte burst to the surface with shock, the grindylow had scared the crud out of her.

'OMG Sen, are you okay?' Flyte's voice shook slightly as she looked at her friend.

[Malak Aarle]

Malak resurfaced and then turned to see that Phoenix had entered the water. Malak swam over to him smiling. She actually met him half-way. "It's a good day for a swim. I'm glad I came out here in the first place." Malak said brightly. She looked over at Flyte and Sen who were making a lot of loud noise and giggle. The silly girls. Malak swam back to the girls just as Sen resurfaced.

"Was that a grindylow?" Malak asked frowning.

[Seniade Hawthorne]

Seniade nodded and brushed her hair out of her face. "Annoying as I said. And I am fine. It takes more than a grindylow to drag me down." Her foot hurt where she had kicked the grindylow but she wasn't about to admit it. "Don't let it ruin the fun. They don't like the sunlight and it's too nice a day to be getting out of the water just yet." She dove under the water and tugged on Flyte and then Malak's foot gently, popping back up a few feet away.

'Seriously - no one told me there were Grindylow's in the lake!' Flyte was indignant, though mostly to cover up her moment of panic. 'There should be some sort of law or something....'

Feeling the tug on her ankle moments after Sen had submerged she also plunged under the water and joined Sen in the attack on Malak.
