The youth stepping from the shadows didn't even cause Drake to flinch. Drake had spent all of his life in houses like Slytherin and knew all the dramatic effects used by their members.

Aidan smirked. Smart boy. "Yes, you're right. That's me. Thank you. Lovely she is. I must agree. The most beautiful girl and you know what?" He walked closer stepping only two steps away from Drake. "She's mine" He stated possessively. He was angry with the man for flirting with his wife and to be honest he was a little upset with her too for enjoying it so much. "I didn't catch your name" He asked even though he already knew it

Drake smiled at Kinney. He lent against the wall casually in response to the implied threat of his approach.

'Drake Bass,' he drawled laconically, running his hand through his hair and absently straightening his tie. 'You are a lucky man, Mr Kinney, as I said. And as I said to your ethereal other half - I am not into interfering in familial situations - I assure you that nothing untoward shall come from my quarter..'

"Oh I do believe you, Mr. Bass" Aidan said sweetly raising one eyebrow and smiling a crooked smile. "Otherwise I'd have to convince you to change your mind" He smiled wider showing two rows of perfectly white razor teeth. "Now why did you have to say such things to her?" He asked

'Which things do you refer too? If you require explanation you are going to need to be a tad more specific..' Drake stretched and smiled lopsidedly at Aidan. His movements very similar to that of a cat, languid, fluid and very relaxed.

[Aidan Kinney]

Aidan arched one eyebrow and his topar eyes flashed. "I thought I was specific enough. You said you'd said to my ethereal other half you weren't into interfering in familial situations and I asked why there was a need to tell her that" He said. He knew about their little flirting in the gardens and there was no need to act innocently. but apparently Mr. Bass had no idea who he was facing. Which was better.

'Oh, that.' Drake smiled again. 'I told her that I normally get what I want but due to her being married and my reluctance to interfere in the sanctity of marriage - last bastion of the wicked, that I was going to leave things lie.' Drake chuckled.

'I take it you have a problem with me Not pressing my suit on your wife?' Drake raised an eyebrow sardonically.

"So you were spying on me Mr. Kinney?" Adia asked with a slight roll to her eyes as she appeared at her husbands side. One arm wrapping around him as she held her books loosely in the other. "What's with all the questions? Nothing happened and I can assure you that nothing ever will. Mr. Bass may be good at charming women but this woman isn't a fool. Forgive me for my moment of weakness.."

"I was merely checking and I must say I'm pleased with your decision Mr. Bass" Aidan said with a tiny smile, though his eyes remained cold. He didn't like the 'I get what I want' attitude but at least he understood he wouldn't be getting this one without Aidan having to break his neck.

He didn't bother to answer Adia's question finding it insulting. "Of course noting will" He said wrapping his cold arm around his wife

"Now that that's settled, lets go Aidan. You can help me study..or not study..whichever you prefer." Adia stated, pulling him with her in the opposite direction. She was suddenly filled with a strange desire to make this up to him when she knew she hadn't done anything wrong. Was accepting a compliment from a stranger that bad?

Drake watched the pair slink off together and found himself chuckling out loud.

'Oh Drake old boy, what did you get yourself into?' He ran a hand through his hair and still laughing meandered on to the common room in search of his friend Vance.
