Adelaide laughed. "Sorry...I tend to be a bit forgetful...hmm...so...what else can we talk about...hmm. Are you happy to be in Ravenclaw?" She sipped her tea as she waited for Krutika to answer.

Krutika smiled, "Yes, I am happy. I had never thought in which house I would be in - but I was sure I didnot want to be in Slytherin. I am happy to be in Ravenclaw but I am not sure if Ravenclaws are happy to have me in," she laughed.

Adelaide grinned. "Well, I'm certainly glad you're in Ravenclaw. Otherwise we would not be having such a lovely conversation." Giggling a bit, she continued. "I never imagined myself in any house other than Ravenclaw, honestly. It seemed like the only fit for me. My mother said, after I told her about the houses, that I could have been in Hufflepuff, but I don't think so..."

"I am sure you are a perfect Ravenclaw," Krutika smiled. Then she remembered something suddenly, "Hey, you are from a muggle family, so you must know plenty about muggles, right?"

Adelaide laughed. "Perfect Ravenclaw? Not so sure about that...but I do love this house." She nodded as Krutika asked if she was from a muggle family. "I am indeed. Yes, I know plenty about them...both in England and South America...did you need to know something?"

"Actually, I too know about Muggles little bit. My friend, the one I mentioned before, his mum is a muggle too. And she sometimes - to be honest a little more than sometimes - tells us about her life with Muggles. Hey wait - I will show you something," said Krutika and she ran fastly into her dormitory and within seconds came back with something in her hands. "See," she said, showing Adelaide a muggle fifty pence coin, "Mrs. Virani - my friend's mum - gave it to me," she said so happily as if it was a treasure or a diamond.

Adelaide smiled as Krutika ran to get whatever muggle trinket she had. ~I love how fascinated wizards and witches are by muggles...it always seems so peculiar to me since I've grown up with it.~ She grinned as Krutika returned holding a fifty pence coin. "I love the muggle coins don't you? My favorite is probably the two pence coin...have you ever seen one?"

"Yes.. I have once seen it.. but it was many time back," Krutika replied, "But I wasn't able to keep it. I too like muggle coins." She looked at the coin for a moment. "Do you have any other wizard relative?" she asked then.

((So sorry it's taken me ages to respond. I've been ridiculously busy...))
Adelaide nodded. "One. My aunt. Actually, I didn't even know she was alive until I received my letter for school...my grandmother had told me she had died..." Adelaide giggled. "You could say that I found out quite a bit that day...one of the least interesting being the fact that my dead aunt was alive."
She smiled, thinking about that day...the day she had finally escaped from her grandmother's house for the year. What a lovely day that had been. "What's your favorite part about the wizard world?"

(No need to say sorry at all.. I can understand. ) Krutika chuckled as Adelaide told her about her aunt. Then as Adelaide asked her what was her favorite part about the wizard world, she began to think.. she had never really thought about it. "I like our daily wizard world lives.. my favorite but.. it could be.." she thought that what was that she enjoyed most.. "lets say Quidditch.. I love Quidditch." she said finally.

Adelaide nodded. "I've always enjoyed Quidditch myself. Well...watching it. I'm terrified of flying. I wouldn't touch a broom by myself with a ten foot pole. I'm deathly afraid of heights. And I never learned to fly...so...well, let's just say, I'd probably end with me on my face on the ground and the broom flying off into outer space." She giggled. "I think my favorite part is knowing all the good we can do with magic. I really like just knowing I can wave my wand and have something happen. And the hustle and bustle of the magical cities is amazing as well...though, granted, it's not that different from muggle cities."

(Sorry.. this time I got late in replying ) Krutika nodded, "Yes.. its good. I have seen work being done by magic from ever since I can remember. And I always wanted to have a wand," she smiled as she remembered, "When I was very young, I wanted a wand very very much. Mum said I was too young to have it. I said, 'But mum.. it must be fascinating to do all the work with a single flick of wand,' and mum has replied, 'I know what work you are going to do with a wand but the better word for it will be pranks" Krutika laughed, "Well, you see, she was right; I am busy in doing 'work' with it ever since I got my wand." she pointed her wand at the mini whomping willow she was holding and it zoomed away in air and then came back bouncing and she caught it back in her hands. She looked at it for a few seconds before speaking again, "Why are you so afraid of heights?"

[[It seems like we might end up trading off with replying on time and late...we'll see...]]
Adelaide giggled. "I can only imagine how paranoid magical mothers must be. I would be afraid to see a little child with a wand...I only got mine when I came to school, and then I was so eager to learn since I'd never seen magic, I didn't really use magic for pranks. Not that I didn't think about it..." She laughed again.
"I'm not really sure why I'm so afraid of them. I suppose I've just never been up in the air...and, well, I don't trust myself on a broom. I'd lose my balance and plunge to the ground and it just wouldn't end well. Somehow, I managed to pass Flying Lessons without actually flying on a broom. No idea how; I just did. So, I've never learned to fly. I've lived on flat-ish land all my life. I suppose I've never really liked feeling vulnerable, and being above the ground certainly makes me feel that way." She shrugged. "Perhaps I'm just better suited for the ground."

Krutika nodded. "Ok.. but if you ever feel you want to learn flying, then I will be more than happy to assist," she said. "So, how did you feel when you got Hogwarts owl for the first time?"

Adelaide smiled. "Thanks for the offer. I'll keep it in mind." She took another sip of her tea as Krutika continued. "My Hogwarts owl for the first time? Well, I was slightly confused at first. You have to realize that I didn't know about it at all, so it was quite a shock. But I was super excited after I realized what it meant. I was so glad to be away from my grandmother during the year...What about you?"
