Hmm...just passing by...and I was wondering...have any of you read The Rule of Four? It's good...I like the analogies used...very apt, very original...

Nope, I have never.
Uhhhhggggg I have to read To Kill A Mockingbird again! This will be the 4th time. Once when I was 10, then 12, then when I was an 8th grader, and now again. uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhgggg I'm sick of this book, and I've seen the movie 3 times.

It's about this boy, Paul...who's dad passed away. His dad was this professor who studied this...owh. Well, it's just too far away in my memory to recall.
But it's very The Da Vinci Code and all that. For me, I like The Rule of Four better.
Clues...Renaissance history and all that. There's this myth that -what's his name? owh I forgot; a Renaissance patron- buried all of those marble sculptures by Michaelangelo and paintings by all those other renaissance men in this secret place so the church can't find it...
But the catch is, they don't even know how to find it. There's this book that's just a complete nonsense ( an entry by this seamen who helped the patron aforementioned) that doesn't help make any headway at all...
But Paul and Tom (his friend who's a big fan of his dad) tries to make sense of it, analyzing it over and over again, because they're certain the clue is in there...Of course, besides that you also get to observe how their efforts to uncover this 'Renaissance treasure' produces a strain on their relationships with the people around them and all that. I absolutely love the ending, btw.
If you like those clue-history-The Da Vinci Code type of stories, you'll love The Rule of Four...
