Chelsea wasn't sure how this year would be. She was at a new school, Hogwarts, which wasn't too far from her home in Hogsmeade. She didn't know what to expect.
Since she lived with her grandmother, she had never had a proper schooling. Sure, she knew a lot of magic on her own, and because of living in Hogsmeade, she had heard about Diagon Alley. Naturally she flooed herself there as soon as she could and bought herself the basic books on most school's lists:

She sat in the Three Broomsticks with her latest list, some of the same books but higher levels, and thought about how her year at Hogwarts would be. She only hoped she would find some friends soon. She sighed and thought of the night to come, as her best friend's father's club opened tonight. She couldn't wait...
