Malak leaned towards Phoenix and kissed his cheek. "It'll be okay love. Hasn't it all worked out so far? Besides, you could think about which is scarier. Being a werewolf...or meeting my family?"

Phoenix shuddered again. Still, he smiled. "I suppose that the ultimate would involve some combination of the two. Hopefully that won't be an issue..."

"I already told you it won't," Malak assured him tugging his arm so she chould get him to the door. "They'll love you. Especially grootvader. I hope you can handle how persistant, questioningly, and annoyingly helpful he'll be."

"Questions and helpful, I can handle," Phoenix said. He stopped suddenly, and pulled Malak closer on a sudden impulse. "I... know that last night I was a bit... pushy. "And I'm sorry. Whatever I said, or tried to do... I can't even say how much it means to me that you stayed with me last night," he said quietly.

Malak chuckled. "Please tell me that you at least remember me rebuking you for being an idiot," Malak begged teasingly. "And I kissed you too. You should be very ptroud of me. I made you see sense when you were going crazy."

Phoenix smiled. "My judgement was impaired, love. Not my memory," he teased, then he kissed her. This close, she could feel that he was shaking, even though he was no longer cold. Actually, his skin felt warmer than usual, especially for being outdoors.

He was shaking and Malak wasn't sure why either. He was warm too. She hoped it wasn't from a fever. That didn't mean she was going to stop kissing him though. "Yes, very impaired judgement," Malak teased gently. "I thought I was going to have to shake some sense into you. That would've been a change now wouldn't it?"

"What, you keeping me from overreacting and making silly decisions? That seems fairly par for the course, doesn't it," he teased. He wiped his forehead, realizing that he was sweating again. "I'm sorry... I think the same problems are going to start up again today, since I'll be shifting again," he sighed.

Malak chuckled. "I'll have to stay on guard then," she teased. At the same time, there was a promise there as well. She wasn't going to let him go off and get himself in trouble. It wouldn't be right. And it probably wouldn't be fair to the people going against him. "Now let's get you food before you wilt on me."

Phoenix pretended to start fainting, then chuckled. "Yes. Food. Let's," he said, pulling open the door back into the castle.
