It was such a beautiful day! Too beautiful to be spent indoors. It was sunny outside, nice and warm. A strong cool breeze blew through the grounds, rustling the grass and the trees. The breeze blew through Tristan's black hair as he casually walked down to the lake, enjoying the sunshine. He stopped for a brief moment and closed his dark brown eyes so that he could enjoy its coolness better. It felt cold against his warm body, but it was refreshing. He then opened them again and continued his walk down to the lake. The sun glittered off of the small waves created by the wind like millions of tiny jewels. Tristan sat down on the edge of the bank, putting his feet into the cool water. Tristan hadn't had very many peaceful days when he was at home in Ireland, but now he could rest and relax all that he wanted. He wished this feeling could last forever. Tristan couldn't imagine anything more perfect that could happen today.
He laid back in the sloping grass, put his hands behind his head and closed his eyes, enjoying the warmth of the sun and the cool breeze, listening to the chirping of the birds in the air and trees. After taking a short nap, Tristan awoke and decided that he wouldn't mind a swim, for it had been a long time since he had last done so. Standing up, Tristan stripped off his shirt, exposing his deceptively toned body; a few scars showing here and there from a few duels that he had been involved in. Tristan wasn't a small guy by any means, but many assumed that he was weaker than he looked. Every inch of his body was toned from the years of physical activity that he was exposed to as a kid. Tossing his shirt on the ground Tristan dove into the icy cold water, making a big splash. The instant his body hit the water its icy coldness ripped the air out of his lungs and stabbed at his body like thousands of tiny knives. After a brief moment he became accustomed to it and it felt refreshing. He swam around under the surface for a few minutes, making wierd patterns in the water. Tristan resurfaced to get air. He paddled around for awhile enjoying his time in the water. He laughed, feeling like a kid again as he splashed around and dove down and resurfaced many times. He floated on his back and back paddled only to then flip onto his stomach to dissappear underneat the surface once again. After what seemed like hours, Tristan swam to the shore, tired from the amount of swimming he had done, but completely happy none-the-less. Once Tristan reache a spot where his feet could touch he began to walk out of the water, the sun glistening off of his wet body.

Iris smiled as she left the library, She had just finished another one of her books. She smiled as she walked through the corridor. The heat bore down on her and she gently wiped her forhead to prevent herself from sweating. She walked quietly to the courtyard and smiled as she looked up and into the sunlight. She closed her eyes gently and felt the rays on her skin.
When she finally opened her eyes she looked out to the lake and saw a boy near the water. She stared at him with her mouth wide open for a few moments. She stared at his toned muscles, And also at his perfect skin tone. She caught herself gaucking and quickly turned away to her backpack where she placed her books. She walked as she put things away towards the lake, She didnt know what she would say, But knew she would have to after that show.
She blushed crimson when she accidently bumped into him, Her books falling to the ground. She sighs and bends to pick them up, "I am sorry." When she looked up, "I am so so." Her words stopped as she looked into his eyes.

Tristan was startled slightly as he felt the bump. He turned around to see a girl he had never met before. "Oh, Ah'm sorry," he said. He really didn't know why he was apolozing, but it felt like the right thing to do. He quickly bent to help her pick up her books, but before he bent down all the way, she looked up at him. Tristan froze as she looked into his eyes. There, staring back at him were the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen. Tristan stood there crouched, bent half way over staring into her eyes, his mouth open slightly. Tristan couldn't move, he just looked into her eyes. She was gorgeous. 'Wow...' was all he could think. Suddenly he realized where he was at and what he was doing, and shook his head slightly, trying to regain his senses. He bent down the rest of the way and helped her pick up her books, trying to think of something quick to say. In doing so, he stammered slightly, which had never happened to him around a girl before. "E-Emmm....H-Here," he said as he handed the girl the rest of her books. His cheeks flushed slightly. 'E-Emmm...H-Here? Is tha' all you could coom up with?!' he asked angrily to himself. He had a fleeting image of him punching himself in the face later for that one. He stood up and offered her his hand to help her stand.

Iris Blushed fiercly as he looked at her and she smiled once he talked. She could tell he was nervous as well as she reached for her books. She giggled at his words and spoke softly, "I hope I did not hurt you, I am very clumsy." She pushed her hair out of her face as she reached for his hand. She smiled as their hands touched, She stood slowly and placed her books inside her backpack at her side, She then turned and smiled, "Your beautiful." She caught herself, "I mean, Its beautiful out today." She smiled as she looked towards the lake and pointed quickly.

He saw her cheeks turn a bright shade of red, a comfort to him because it showed that she was nervous as well. He almost melted right there on the spot when she giggled. Once again, her angelic voice rang sweetly in his ears. He laughed. "Hahahaha, no, Ah'm alrigh'. Ah hope that Ah didn' hurt you though!' he replied smiling at her. His heart raced and his stomach jumped as their hands touched briefly. She had soft skin that contrasted the roughness of his own. Tristan couldn't help but laugh as he caught what she said. He made no attempt to stifle his laughter. Her making him laugh seemed to ease some of the awkward tension that he was feeling inside, and he began to relax a little. He smiled again as he thought of something smooth to say. "Yes you are. Ah mean...it is isn't it?" he asked scratching the back of his head as he turned slightly to look at the sparkling water behind him. "Yep, sure is beautiful isn't it?" he said, casting a sideways glance at her. He turned back to face her completely again. "Ah'm sorry. How rude of meh. Ah don' believe Ah've had the pleasure. Ah'm Tristan, Tristan McGadey," he said, once again offering her his hand, this time with the intention of holding on a little longer.

Iris smiled widely as she extended her hand, "Nice to meet you Tristan, My name is Iris, Iris Mcgowan." She held her hand in his and smiled towards him. His hand had a roughness to them, But they were also gentle to the touch. He held a wondeful accent that made her heart skip she spoke softly, "That accent, Is it Irish?" She smiled and her eyes twinkled.

Tristan's heart skipped a few beats as she smiled at him. "Iris. Tha's a beautiful name. Yeah, Ah jus' transfered from Ireland," he said. He couldn't take his eyes off of her. She was gorgeous. His eyes morphed into a beautiful bright blue with black flecks as he looked at her. He kept her soft hand in his for a few moments, not wanting to let go. When he finally did, he felt as if the world had ended. Her eyes seemed to twinkle, and it made Tristan feel weak inside. That had never happened to him before, but he didn't mind. He liked her, and wanted to tell her right then and there, but he didn't want to be too forward. Still, he hoped that he could spend some more time with her. "So.....where are you from?" he asked, wanting to keep her around a little longer.

Iris smiled, Her voice soft, "Your accent is amazing, Very attractive." She walked to a nearby rock and sat down. She then thought of her home back home, "I am from London, I was raised by a house nanny, Thus why i do not know french." She sighed, "I would have loved to speek french, It is so amazing of a language." She stopped herself, "Im sorry, Would you like to sit down?" She scooted over and patted the rock beside her. She could tell that he was nervous and she was glad that she wasnt the only one that was nervous.

Tristan blushed when Iris said that his accent was attractive. "Why thank you." He got that a lot, but he never seemed to get used to it. Tristan smiled as she explained her story. 'She seems ta have a deep past, much like mahself....' he thought. "Ahh, yes. Ah know what you mean. French is a beautiful language. Ah doubt tha' Ah'd be much good at it though," he said smiling once more. He laughed a little when she patted the space of rock beside her. "Should Ah, put mah shirt back on then?" he asked jestingly, pointing to the shirt on the ground. He crossed his arms and winked at her.

Iris smiled, "That is up to you, Although I wasnt complaining." She giggled softly and her eyes twinkled. She closed them quickly and cursed herself, *Ahh to forward, Hurry apologize, before he thinks your pathetic.* She quickly opened her eyes and smiled, "It is hot out, Perhaps it is best you dont get to hot." She squirmed at her words as she frowned at herself, How stupid that must have sounded. She closed her eyes and smiled gathering herself.

Tristan chuckeld a little and smiled at her but inside he was laughing. 'She is too cute!!' he thought. "Yes, Ah wouldn' want ta' get too hot," he said with a hint of laughter as he sat down next to her. "Ah suppose Ah could use a wee bit o' sun," he said, trying to make her feel better, for he could tell she thought that she'd embarassed herself. He saw the slight frown on her face, and put his finger under her chin and lifted her face up to his, looking into her eyes. "Ya' know, a girl as pretty as you shouldn't frown like tha'. Et really doesn' do you justice," he said, surprised that he didn't feel embarrassed at having said something like that. Knowing that she was just as embarassed if not more so than he was made it easier to say what he was thinking. All he could do was look deep into her eyes and smile.

For a moment Iris thought that he was going to kiss her. She closed her eyes and breathed in his scent momentarily and smiled. She spoke softly eyes still closed, "How could one not smile when you are near." She opened her eyes and smiled at him and spoke softly, Her lips moving slowly, "I believe it is getting a bit hot out." She then smiled, Her voice soft, "Would you wish to go for a cooling swim?" She did not even look to the lake this time, Instead staring at his amazing eyes.

Her words made Tristan feel weak inside and he longed to kiss her. He had never felt this way about a girl before and he was slightly nervous but he wanted to be with her now, more than anything. Tristan watched as her big beautiful eyes closed momentarily and as she took a slow deep breath. Never before in all of his young life had Tristan been more excited than when she proposed going for a swim, for he had been hoping that she'd suggest such a thing. Smiling at her and never removing his eyes from hers, he said, "Yes, Ah believe et is, and Ah belive you've read mah mind!" Taking her hand in his he stood up, facing her, and pulled her slowly towards the cool water.

Iris smiled, "Wonderful." She stopped for a second and took off her shirt and skirt, She then spoke, "That way I have some dry clothes to put back on when we are done." She then smiled as she skipped past him and splashed into the water. She moved her finger towards him and called out for him, "Come on Tristan, It feels wonderful." She gave a smile as she sank into the water slowly.

Tristan's jaw dropped slightly. She definantley wasn’t shy. She was gorgeous! He smiled at her as she skipped past him, and he turned around, following her moves, until he faced the lake. He watched as the water slowly enveloped her gorgeous body. He smiled mischievously and took off running and then he jumped into the air, going into a cannonball formation, creating a big splash when he hit the water. He began to laugh as he resurfaced again. He hadn’t had this much fun in years!
