As random as the wind

[Oryn Vance]

Oryn walked into the garden, then looked around to see if it would work. His grandmother had taught him this charm and the signs involved.

He tapped the piece of chalk with his wand, muttering "scryvus" as he did. The chalk glowed briefly, and he walked to the north wall of the garden and began carefully sketching a glyph on it near the ground.

[Flyte Vance]

Flyte wandered into the garden and noticed Oryn at the other end, she wondered what he was doing scratching around the walls...

She walked up behind him and placed her arms around his waist.

'Boo.'

Oryn jumped slightly, but smiled at the voice. "Now... why should I have ever thought to find a little hummingbird anywhere but in the garden?" he asked with a chuckle. He looked back over his shoulder, catching a glimpse of her out of the corner of his eye and smiling.

[Flyte Vance]

Flyte giggled at Oryn's words and gave him a squeeze.

'What are you doing, Oryn?' Flyte stepped around him to look at what he had been working on.

"Mmmmm... laying magic," he said, glancing back at her with a sly smile. He finished drawing the runes and stood up. "Can you feel anything different? If anyone could, I would think that you could." Indeed, Flyte could feel a subtle shift in the emotions around her, like all negativity was just... hard to find."

[Flyte Vance]

'Oryn!' Flyte mocked shock, 'Do not tell me YOU are doing something nice.. whatever happened to my bad boy?'

Flyte's head felt clear and her body positively rung with the good vibes around her.

[Oryn Vance]

"Well, I don't want to do something bad to you," Oryn pointed out. "Besides... perhaps I put that there with evil intentions. It makes you feel happy, so you're happy to see me, and then, muahahaha, you're under my spell," he teased.

[Flyte Vance]

'Now, now.. I am sure I would always be happy to see You...' Flyte grinned. 'And as for your evil intentions.. I will have you know that I am a Good Girl..'

[Oryn Vance]

"Of course you are," Oryn said, standing up. "Which is why I'm free to be as evil as I want, since you, my little hummingbird, are incorruptible." He grinned. "After all... how could something as free as a force of nature be evil?" he teased, brushing a stray lock of hair back behind her ear.

[Flyte Vance]

'That, i suppose, is all a matter of perception' she laughed. 'Might not someone prey to it think a hurricane the work of evil?'

[Oryn Vance]

"They might," Oryn admitted. "But does the hurricane have a mind, guiding it with malice? Does it seek the destruction, or does it just... exist?" He smiled. "I will be sincerely surprised if you are ever capable of a single malicious act."

[Flyte Vance]

'I will take that as a compliment though coming from a slimey Slytherin who knows?' Flyte laughed and then laughed some more as she realised she was always grinning like a cheshire cat around this boy.

'So do you have plans today or is this no chance meeting?'

[Oryn Vance]

"Oh, this is a chance meeting, although it is a very welcome chance," Oryn said, unable to keep from copying her smile. It was infectious, even for someone like him. "Why? Do you have plans that will tear you away from me, making this wonderful chance meeting bittersweet to in my memory?" he added, waxing poetic again as he teased her.

[Flyte Vance]

'Nothing that can't be changed or put aside for the moment..' Flyte smiled softly at him and spun slowly to take in the garden.

'It really is lovely here... ' she smiled contentedly.

Oryn smiled, watching her spin. "Well, I'm happy that I warrant a delay in your plans," he said, "Even though any delay will seem all too brief in such lovely company."
