Rosaline sat on a bench just outside of the little town of Hogsmeade. Her legs were crossed at the ankles as she waited. The hem of the skirt she wore lifted ever so slightly in the breeze, but the hands folded in her lap kept the cloth from flying up completely. The breeze was actually rather nice. It was a breath of cool relief from the otherwise unrelenting heat of the sun. The black skirt matched the darkness of her hair, as did the blue streaks and her dark blue tank top.
Her hair itself was pulled back in to pig tails, something she normally never did with her hair. Today it seemed fitting for her to do that. Rosaline's gray eyes scanned the surrounding trees and the village in front of her for signs of anyone approaching her. A small sigh escaped her. Though she wasn't exactly looking forward to anything, she didn't want to be waiting around all day for something that wasn't going to happen.

Flowers. That was what he needed to get. Pretty ones. Violets and roses of all different colors. She liked the smell of flowers and these had a nice smell and look together. Maybe this would get her to smile at him. Even if it were just once that she did. If he played the day out right, maybe it would turn in to more than just a smile by the end. But that was definitely wishful thinking.
Kieran's normally unruly hair was combed for once. He had also chosen to wear jeans and a nice t-shirt. It wasn't much, but it was definitely better than his usually messy, just-got-out-of-bed look. He held the flowers carefully in his grip. He didn't want to ruin them before he gave them to her. He fluttered his wings as he gazed at her from just outside the door. Eventually Kieran would have to go up to her and talk to her, but for the moment he was content with watching.

It didn't take a terribly long time to find him, even with the crowd of people in Hogsmeade that day. The wings protruding from his back gave him away in an instant. Much to her surprise she found the corners of her lips tugging up in a smile at the sight of him. Rosaline wondered how long it had taken him to tidy himself up like that. It was certainly a change from what he normally looked like, and she wished in some way that he had left his hair ruffled.
Rosa tilted her head slightly to the side, wondering what he was doing. They couldn't just stand there all day and watch each other. Eventually one of them would have to move, and it sure wasn't going to be her. He was the one that wanted to go out on this little outing, so he'd have to be the one to take the initiative. That shouldn't be too difficult for him.

A minute or two had passed before Kieran took notice of the fact that his beauty was looking back at him. It took another moment after that for him to register the smile playing upon her lips. A wide grin, stretching nearly from ear to ear, spread his cheeks. He hadn't even spoken a word to her and she'd already smiled at him. It was the flowers, it had to be the flowers. He knew those were a good idea.
With his wings practically lifting him off his feet he ran up the hill to the bench she sat on. "For you, my Lady," he said politely, holding out the flowers for her to take. Kieran took a seat next to her on the bench, not too far away for her to think he had sudden doubts about their little date, but not so close as to bother her too much.

Rosaline jumped slightly as Kieran practically flew up the hill towards her. He was wearing this wide grin that made her automatically think the worst, even if she knew he was just extremely enthusiastic. It was all she had not to completely jump up and run away. Glancing down at her hands she could see that her knuckles had turned white from gripping the bench so hard.
"Oh, uh... thanks," Rosaline thanked him, a slightly nervous edge to her tone. Slowly, or at least it seemed slowly, she reached a small hand for the flowers. She pulled back slightly as her fingers touched his. Quicker than before she took hold of the flowers. Warily, but with a small smile playing at her lips because of the sweet gesture, she sniffed the flowers. The scent was almost intoxicating to her. "Thank you."

Kieran released the breath he hadn't known he had been holding when she took the flowers. She seemed to like them from the way her overall manner seemed to relax as she took in their scent. It was much better now that he had found something she liked. He could use those again the next time, or maybe he would find something else for her then.
"So what shall it be?" he asked her. "We can sit here up on this hill and talk the day away. Or would you like to go and share this afternoon in Hogsmeade with me?"
