She heard Krutika. Estelle tried to shut the book, forcing it with her other hand. The thing -it -whatever it was, was now climbing out of the triangle.
"Close, stupid book!" she said, exasperated. She cursed under her breath.
"Guys, help!" she said as she felt life drained from her. Her hands look almost invisible, the skin already paper thin. As life from her seeped away, the 'thing' materialized even clearer. Estelle could see its face. She gasped before she fainted.

Jake was studying alone near the back of the room when he heard a loud bang. In the library, what hell do they think they're doing?!, he thought to himself. After a few loud noises, he couldn't take it anymore. He slowly got up and dragged himself closer to the noise. As he was walking, he saw a group of people and an opened book. From far away, it didn't look like much of a good book, with its dark colours and all. There was someone else there, on the ground, and boy, it didn't look to good. With a flick of a wrist, the book closed and went back onto the shelf, but it wasn't staying there. He could see that the book didn't want to be on the shelf, it was.. it was like the book had a mind of its own. It was moving, trying to open again."That won't stay on the shelf like that for long, it will open soon by itself, but before it does, would someone please explain to me what you are all doing? I mean, with a book like that" he said, as he pointed towards the book.

"Are you alright?" Krutika has said as Estelle has fainted. She had realized that even if she will grab the book and will try to shut it, it will do no good. It must be done with some spell. She has just made for her wand when book was closed and back in the shelf. But she had just thought of using some spell, but not used it - she turned around to see who has done the spell - and there was another student, also Ravenclaw. He asked what were they doing with a book like that. "This book is odd - we were just trying to know what it is about?" said Krutika, "And thanks," she added. She gave a glance at the book which was quivering madly like it will come to life at any time. But she felt more worried for Estelle. She sat down beside her.

He noticed that the other ravenclaw, sitting beside the gryffindor that had seemed to fainted was very worried. He asked curiously, "What happened to her?" He didn't see much, he didn't even really pay much attention to the gryffindor. Instead, he just wanted to get rid of the book, it was causing some noise. "Of all books in the library, how did you come across that one?"

Krutika frowned slightly, "Because, of all the books in library, only this book was speaking" she said.

He laughed softly at the ravenclaw. People these days, going to get themselves killed from their curiousity. he thought to himself. He was already starting to not like this ravenclaw.. thats the thing, with some ravenclaws, they thought they were oh so very smart because they were in the ravenclaw house, but then again, some people just didn't have any common sense about the real world. The world outside of Hogwarts. "We live in a magical world, and y you guys are curious about a speaking book" He knew he was acting a bit snotty here, but he didn't care. He was in a crankyish mood anyways.

Krutika frowned again as she watched the guy laughing, "What is so funny about it?" she snapped, "And we know this is a magical world! We just sensed something was odd with this book," she said, and then her attention again diverted towards Estelle.

Estelle shook her head slightly. She tried to get up and felt a hand helping her. She had heard voices; angry ones. She looked at a boy who was laughing.
"Why are you laughing? Better yet, why are you even here? I didn't remember asking you to join us..." She said, narrowing her eyes at him. She huffed.
"..and, we know this is a magical world. A little bit of curiosity sometime wouldn't hurt." Estelle rubbed her right arm with her left nervously. "...well, not in this case...But you know..." she said, her eyes avoiding the cranky Ravenclaw's.

Krutika felt releived as Estelle came back to consciouness. She helped her to get up. While Estelle was telling off the boy, she looked at book. The symbol and hand appeared from it were gone. But the book was still shaking slightly.

Annika looked at the book as though it were possesed. This really is a bad idea! I should never have asked Estelle to do this! Annika calmed herself down as Krutika helped Estelle up. Her eyes somehow starred at the back book.

Krutika tore her gaze away from the book. She turned to face rest of them. "Now we know, there is something wrong with this book - it is evil," she glanced at the book, which was still shaking, "But - the point is, if this book is really evil - what is it doing here, at Hogwarts?" She looked at each of them before saying, "Do you think we should tell someone?" As soon she completed her sentence, the book gave a final shudder and fall from the shelf with a thud on the floor - and lay completely still there.

Estelle looked uneasy. Tell someone? About what they did? About her idea to go ahead for the heck of it anyway? No way.
But...what if someone else finds it in future? What will happen to them then? Estelle bit her lip.
"Oh...alright then. Let's tell Professor Conners. She is the Defense professor," she said, relenting.

"Alright," Krutika nodded. She guessed what Estelle was thinking so she added, "And don't worry, we have not done anything wrong, not broken any rules. I mean, there is nothing wrong in opening a book in library that is not in restricted area."

"Right," Estelle said, smiling gratefully at Krutika. She knew this friend of hers would never leave her in this muck alone.
"Thanks," she said to Krutika.
Then, taking in a deep breath, she went out of the library to look for Professor Conners.

Krutika took the book in her hands and followed Estelle out of the library. She has taken the book so that they can show it to Professor Conners, and also so that no one else finds it and gets in trouble.
