"Mmmhmm," he nodded in agreement. "I think it's a big part of all of us by now. Of course I'll visit whenver I can. And when the war is over and I have kids, they'll come here too and I'll get to visit even more. But that's a long way off, and before any of that happens, this Transfiguration essay has to happen." He opened the NEWT level Transfiguration book and started skimming the chapter.

((Keep that picture!!!! I love Heros... and he was on Gilmore Girls!))
"Haha yes.. that might be good. But Professor Benjelle is so relaxed... she probably won't even care if you don't have it done."
Homework... I sure hope I don't have any... hmmm

((ok!))
"Yeah, I like Professor Benjelle for that. But the truth is I love my transfiguration work... maybe not the written stuff so much, but I transfigure stuff in my spare time a lot. My Iguana ends up on the receiving end of a lot of experimental disguise transfiguration," he added with a chuckle.

She laughed. "Oh no! Not good."
My aunt has an iguana, not a very nice one though. Almost bit my finger off that thing did.
"I think I shall keep my owl as an owl. It has better use in it's original form." she smiled.
Emily started imagening her wol as a koo koo clock. But shook her head and came back to reality, and sighed.

"Yeah, I'd agree that owls are best left in their original form. You can't transfigure an iguana to deliver messages like an owl, unfortunately. I wish I had an owl. Not instead of Puddle... I love my iguana, I just wish I had an owl in addition to her." He reached in his bag and pulled out his Iguana. Puddle was about seven inches long and extremely colorful. She had been resting, evidently, and now eyed her owner sleepily. Veritas pulled the creature into a soft huggle, then put her down beside his book on the table. He flipped to the index, then to a page somewhere near the end of the text. Holding up his wand, he said, "Azure Iguanidae," and Puddle promptly turned shades of blue. She continued to stare serenely at her owner before wandering to the other side of the table to snack on the crumbs of another Hufflepuff's food.

Iguanas... they remind me of dragons... which are scary. I hope I never have to be near one. I htink it might bite my head off, andd that wouldn't be good. I'd like my head to stay intacted. If my head was off I would die. That wouldn't be too fun either. hmmm
Emily kept her random thoughts going through her head as she stared off into space.

The iguana wandered back around the table to Veritas, who picked her up and fed her a cracker. She chewed away and began to stare at Emily. Veritas held her in one hand as he continued to scribble on his Transfiguration essay. The essay was on the effects of coloring spells, so Veritas had to wait to see how long the spell lasted before he could go on. "What are you thinking about?" he asked as he waited.

"Oh sorry," she chuckled. "just random, stuff of non-importance. Like I would die if a dragon bit my head off, you know things like that." she smiled.
That would really hurt, I wonder if I would feel it though, or would I die of fear first? Huh?
Emily pulled out her wand, flicked it, and water appeared floating infrot of her.
"Would you like some?"

Veritas stared at the water, then replied, "nah, I'm good for now."
His iguana was slowly changing back to yellow. He sighed. "I'm supposed to find a color-changing spell that lasts longer than ten minutes. That one barely lasted five. I'm telling you, Transfiguration is one of the hardest classes at NEWT level. You have to write a 4 foot original thesis by the end of seventh year."

After an hour or so of silence and nothing but Veritas writing his essay, which was coming along quite nicely, he finally looked up at the clock. He stretched, then gathered his things.
"Well, see you around, Em," he said, before dropping his things off in his room and heading out of the common room, off to get some lemon cakes from the Kitchen elves.

"I'll see ya" she said drifting in and out of sleep.
"Do you think they'd be mad if I fell asleep here? I odn't think I can make it up the steps."

He turned back as he was headed out the door. "Of course not. Just watch out for the sixth year boys... I'm sure they'd love nothing better than to pull a trick on a sleeping Emily Silver..."
