It was early in the morning. Really early. Klera had found herself unable to sleep most of the night, her mind on other things. It was about three fifteen, but she hardly seemed tired, though the dark bags under her eyes would give it away instantly. And so she had tossed and turned with her thoughts making it impossible to rest for even a second.
She was happy that she had finally left MI6, but had it been the right thing for her to do? Or would she have been better off staying in the agency for a little bit longer? Or should she just go back to the mountains and pursuade Sunset to join her there? None of these questions really had an answer, and yet they yearned to be solved once and for all.
So here she was, running rapidly around to the other side of the lake. Her mind was in a frenzy. The wolf half of her was gone, but she reverted to her emotions from that time everyonce in a while still. Now was one of those times. Desperatly wanting to get down on all fours and feel fur again, she ran on. Her shoes had been left in her dorm, and the rocks dug into her bare feet but Klera hardly noticed them. She was in nothing but a tighter fitting t-shirt and shorts that were rolled up a bit at the waist line.
Coming to a stop on the far side of the lake she looked back at the school and then to the mountains. It was about three thirty now. How she wished time would just move faster, but she knew it wouldn't no matter how much she wished and hoped. With a sigh she fell onto a large rock jutting out over the lake in a heap.

Adelaide groaned, sitting up in bed. She was having ever so much trouble falling asleep. It had been hours since she had gone to bed and she swore she hadn't been asleep for fifteen minutes yet. ~Why in the world does this always happen to me?!~ She got out of bed, wincing a bit as her bare feet hit the cold dormitory floor. She skittered over to the window seat and, since it was a seat, she sat, for what else would she do?
Peering out the window, Adelaide made up her mind. The crescent moon was absolutely beautiful tonight, especially as it reflected over the lake, and surely no one would miss her if she were to sneak out...just this once. Smiling at her sudden mischievousness, Adelaide quickly changed, and headed out of her dorm, shoes, sketchbook and paints in hand.
After padding down the stairs, out of the common room, and down the numerous staircases, she finally reached the grand door to the grounds. Adelaide reached out and grasped the handle, silently begging for it to be silent and unlocked. The latter of her wishes came true, unfortunately it squeaked a bit as it opened. Her eyes widened as she looked around, hoping no one had heard her. Thankfully, it didn't seem as if anyone had. She slipped out the door and ran down to the lake.
She looked up into the sky and sighed as she realized the view would be much better from the other side of the lake...she could get the castle in the background that way. Grimacing, for she knew she would either have to swim or run (and running was simply out of the question), Adelaide mentally levitated her supplies, dreading the frigid water. Taking a deep breath, she jumped in, and it immediately seemed as if she would freeze right there. ~No, no stopping now, Adelaide. Just swim to the other side, and you'll be warm. Setting her mind to the task, she began to swim as fast as she could, and before she knew it she was across.
Casting a quick spell to dry herself after she climbed out of the water, she retrieved her things from the air. ~How marvelous wandless magic is!~ She then caught sight of the view. ~And this is the perfect spot.~ Settling down on the rock, she began to paint, making small light brushstrokes at first, and then filling the lines in deeper, darker. It was certainly an experience to paint in the dark.
Suddenly, she paused, hearing someone sigh near her. ~Oh no. Not a professor!~ She turned her head, and then it was her turn to sign in relief. It was just another Ravie. She coughed lightly, trying to make her presence known; she didn't want to startle the girl. "Hello. Could you not sleep either?"

Klera was startled at the sound of another voice and jumped up immediately. Her nose scrunched into a snarl and she felt the beginnings of a low growl deep in her stomach. She let it pass though without making an rash decisions. The last thing she wanted was for people to find out about her 'furry little problem' that happened to show at the full moon.
Relaxing her features she looked at the female Ravenclaw. She knew the girl was three years her senior. She was in her seventh year; the N.E.W.T. year. Settling back down on the rock she contemplated the upperclassman's question.
"I never sleep nowadays," she responded. A simple answer that told the truth without revealing any information about what had been causing her lack of sleep. Klera herself didn't really know. All she could think of was that it was a new school and she was the only werewolf here and she had to hide that fact.

Adelaide was startled as she heard something resembling a growl come from the younger Ravie. Just as quickly as it began, it was over and Adelaide was left believing she had imagined it. She put the thought from her mind, for the last thing she wanted to think about was being stuck outside...away from the castle...with a girl...who was growling at her. That certainly wouldn't be the most pleasant of circumstances...nope, not pleasant at all.
Her brow furrowed slightly as the girl mentioned she never slept. Incredible. "You never sleep? Not ever? Why could that be?" The question was more rhetorical than anything, though she wouldn't be put out if the girl decided to answer. "I don't know what I'd do without a good night's rest most nights. It nearly kills me when I don't get one. Though...some nights, like tonight, it's nice to be able to come out here and paint. It's beautiful and peaceful and I simply adore it." Adelaide trailed off, admiring the sky and its reflection on the surface of the lake once again. It really was gorgeous.
It suddenly occurred to Adelaide that she hadn't seen this girl before...she really should introduce herself, seeing as it was she who had begun the conversation. "I'm Adelaide, by the way. I don't believe I've met you before. Have you just transferred?"
