In the dark

[Krutika Gehi]

'A secret club.. that must be interesting,' Krutika thought, when Estelle asked her if she will be interested. "That sounds really interesting," she replied.

[estelle]

"So you're in, right?" she asked Krutika.

Estelle crossed her arms and looked fixedly at the Ravenclaw.

"If you're not, then I guess there's no use of us being here..." she added. She looked around her as she said it, taking in the whole room.

"Hey...wait," she said, beckoning them to come over where she stood.

"What does this do?" she said, pointing to something that looked suspiciously like a lever.

"Ofcourse I am in," said Krutika, "but only if you don't mind," she smiled.

Suddenly Estelle pointed at something that looked like a lever. "Lets see," said Krutika as she moved forward towards it.

[estelle]

"Pull it," she said, encouraging Krutika.

Her eyes looked at the lever, taking in the rust, the cobwebs around it, and realized there must be a reason why it hadn't been in use for a while.

"Wait!" she said, but the lever was already pulled.

Krutika moved forward towards the lever. Estelle asked her to wait - but too late. She had already pulled the lever. There was a loud screeching sound. Krutika left the lever at once.

Tant finally decided to cheek out the room again she had decided that it was just her imagination last time but it was her turn to watch the dungeons and she wanted to cheek the room again in case any students were out after hours.

As she reached out side of the room Tant hear a loud screeching noise from inside the room.

Got ya now." Muttered Tant as she opened the door to find Three students all standing in the middle of the room covering there ears.

"Hello girl." Tant said as the noise stopped.

Estelle looked for her friends as she reached out her hands in the dark. She couldn't see anything. From somewhere above her, she heard a woman's voice. It was the professor who had come in to check on them a moment ago. Thank goodness Krutika had pulled the lever. If not, they would have been stuck in the dungeon above, with the professor. And if that had happened, what would be their excuse?

Estelle looked around in the dark.

"Krutika?" she said, her voice small. She wasn't so sure about this anymore. Maybe pulling the lever wasn't such a good idea after all.

Krutika was looking around in dark, trying to make out where they were when she heard Estelle's voice. "Estelle," she said, "I am here," she said, trying to make out where Estelle was from direction of her voice. It was very unusually dark here. "Lumos! she said, taking out her wand.

[estelle]

Estelle saw Krutika's face as she lighted the end of her wand. Taking the Ravenclaw's hand, she whispered. "That was lucky, wasn't it?" she said shakily.

"So...what should we do now?" Estelle asked her. The place was cold and moist, and she could hear water dripping somewhere near. From the corner of her eye, she saw something move.

Krutika looked around in her wand light - it was a very odd sort of place. "Do you think we are here in some secret or hidden part of the castle?" she asked Estelle, excited about the new adventure that was waiting for them.

"I think so," Estelle replied slowly. She looked to the spot she swore she had saw something move. There was nothing there. Shaking her head slightly, she dismissed it. 'Probably a trick of the light,' she told herself.

"Do you want to explore it?" she said, gesturing to the tunnel before them. The continuous dripping was starting to annoy her. The further they get away from here, the better.

"Lumos," she whispered, as the tip of her wand lighted.

Krutika nodded, "Yes". They had just started to walk when Krutika too saw something move. "Wait - there something there," she pointed in its direction, "Its moving.."

Tant walked into the middle of the room she swore she had seen something before she had heard the screech.Tant was reminded about the other time she had come here and she heard that sneeze. Where are yous muttered tant.

Estelle gasped, her hand flew to close her mouth. It was the professor. How in the world she had managed to get down here, Estelle didn't know, but the game of cat-and-mouse was getting on Estelle's nerves.

One hand still on her mouth she used the other to gesture at Krutika to follow her. Slowly, she led them to the direction behind them, into the darkness. The light that shone from their wands cast dreary shadows on the walls, the effect of which made Estelle's heart beat faster.

The teacher was right behind them, and they were going into a place neither of them knew of. Estelle quickened her pace.

Krutika followed Estelle, with her eyes curiously looking around at the place they were at. It seemed really odd, and the lights from their wands were making it look very wiered.
